In the job as Facilities Engineer, you will have the opportunity to actively support the organization by meeting ensuring that our manufacturing site runs as needed to have the growth expected of the products we make in Mexico, excel in your own daily tasks and responsibilities, and experience a very varied working day in a dynamic organization. You will work closely with local colleagues and management.
**Objective**:
Support manufacturing, secure building needs in equipment and processes, participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction projects and/ or optimization.
**Job Summary**:
The Facilities Engineer will provide maintenance, electric, and hydraulic engineering services, and support.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
- May oversee and support the maintenance, electric, and hydraulic work teams.
- May prepare work schedules for plant maintenance teams.
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Experience in all related maintenance activities for a Clean Room Class 8
- Understand and work within the Quality philosophy based on FDA requirements.
- PMs management for a manufacturing site and maintaining or repairing building equipment, such as: HVAC systems, compressed air system, utilities systems, electrical, water and gas services, etc.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor activities and or services.
- Energy saving management.
- Develops and implements documentation such: PMs routines, internal procedures, etc.
- Perform root cause investigations for the NCR or CAPA processes.
- Supervises and lead technicians in installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Analyzes and resolves maintenance problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Prepares requisitions spare parts, tools, equipment, etc.
- Provides technical training to management and other team members.
- Coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Required Skills/Abilities**:
- Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Able to work in any shift
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in any Engineering field required.
- Five years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing sites and industry is a must.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
- Prolonged periods of walking or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
**Work Environment**:
This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration, or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.
