.Specify your vehicle's year, make and model to guarantee fit.Overview of Facilities Maintenance TechnicianThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for multi-site facility planning, operations, and maintenance of a large Distribution Center and Business Center including business offices, grounds, buildings, and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for making sure the facilities are in good repair and that all systems are following all applicable safety and fire regulations as well as federal, state, and local building codes to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for all employees.General ResponsibilitiesPerform both scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance and solve a broad range of maintenance problems of varying scope and complexity for all warehouse equipment to include, but not limited to, conveyors, racking, strapping machines, box maker, tape machines, dock doors and levelers.Provide a technical resource for equipment maintenance improvement projects.Handle all building equipment emergencies on an as needed basis.Manage, coordinate, and communicate with outsourced services and outside repair contractors and track all repairs.Create a preventative maintenance plan and complete inspections in accordance with the PM plan.Create and maintain forklift certification log.Maintain a clean work environment. This position interacts with housekeeping contractors and reports deficiencies to management.Actively participate in safety and compliance meetings, offering input into improvements required and routinely monitoring the building to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Oversee and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, buildings, equipment, grounds, and office space.Assist in developing both short and long-term facility utilization plans.Develop facility operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and work instructions.Prepare cost estimates and recommend purchase of necessary supplies.Maintain repair logs on all building equipment.Set up, arrange, and take down furniture and equipment for all meeting and conference rooms adhering to fire and safety codes.Move furniture and equipment for cleaning purposes or relocation to another area, as required.Train warehouse associates in the safe and proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.Requirements and Qualifications5 to 10 years of experience within facilities, construction, or corporate real estate management, or related project management.High school diploma or GED required.Strong working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.Knowledge of Local and State Codes and Ordinances as well as safety regulations.Thorough understanding of building construction and associated trades.Experience with operations management of multiple facilities, structures, and buildings.Working knowledge of warehouse equipment including conveyor systems, racking, and forklift equipment
