Overview The Facilities Supervisor oversees the maintenance and operation of buildings, buildings' equipment, and grounds of the assigned facilities in the organization; lease management, and utilities efficiency control; responsible of projects' management, and costs control. The Facilities Supervisor will manage a team of maintenance personnel, and coordinate outside contractors always enforcing safety measures and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of facility equipment and systems. Utilize maintenance management systems to assure development of preventive/predictive infrastructure maintenance practices. Manage all utilities and waste management for efficiency control, improvements, and cost savings. Define facilities maintenance approaches for optimizing effectiveness of reliability and maximize equipment operation and runtime. Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed. Coordinate facility related activities of outside contractors, periodically evaluate them, and assure that contractors understand and conform to all corporate and local safety requirements. Ensure compliance of pertinent local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and laws; and monitor the status of permits and applications. Working knowledge and understanding of commercial leases, CAM charges, etc. Enforce safety rules and procedures and oversee ongoing training of maintenance team. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency in mechanical, electric, or facilities maintenance/engineering disciplines obtained through formal education, and a minimum of 5+ years' management experience in facilities or maintenance management in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of project management experience. Proven experience in high-demand customer service environments. Demonstrated ability to clearly define relevant project/program information in written and oral presentations. Demonstrated ability to solve problems through improvement methodologies. Prior experience in a supervisory position, and contractor management. Bi-lingual English/Spanish DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education in any of the following: Project Management, construction, sustainability, industrial safety. 5+ years Safety or Security experience in a manufacturing environment with U.S. and/or Mexico safety regulations. Proven effective communication with government contacts, site, and senior management, both on a personal and technical basis.
