.**Position**:Facility Engineer**Work Schedule**:Vertical position**Reports To**:Production Manager**Location/Division **New Millennium Building Systems Juarez, MX.**Department**:Production**Pay Grade/Pay Rate**:TBD**Brief Description**:The Facility Engineer is responsible for the complete project management of all new or retrofit projects at the facility including but not limited to, automation, robotics, infrastructure upgrades and improvements, new construction (buildings or other structures), remodels/renovation, etc. The intent of the position is to be the single point of contact for developing, coordinating, and executing the long-term operating plan of the facility with plant management and the corporate design team.**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:**_Responsibilities: _**- Design, install and maintain automated equipment for joist manufacturing- Create design, budget, financial justification, and schedule for capital projects- Effectively work with the maintenance group on equipment reliability improvements- Work with equipment suppliers on equipment design- Create effective ELC procedures, technical manuals, drawings, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides- Effectively collaborate with automation group and other NMBS plants- Work with the GM, production manager, and other appropriate personnel to develop a long-term operational plan for increase efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of the division.- Organize the long-term plan into logical and actionable steps that can be executed.- Contribute to plan concepts and design as well as project specifications as needed- Prepare RFQ's for equipment and installation labor- Work with Finance department to prepare appropriate payback, NPV, and IRR analysis- Manage project budgets and schedules and prepare progress reports regularly- Travel as needed to vendor facilities for coordination and progress inspection.- Coordinate with outside vendors, division management, maintenance, IT, environmental/safety/health professionals (division & corporate) to ensure timely and successful project implementation- Coordinate training of both maintenance personnel and operators both during and after implementation- Prepare and maintain clear and accurate equipment or process documentation, technical manuals, drawings models, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides.**Required Experience**- Strong safety attitude- Works well in a team environment- High energy, self-starter, and well-organized individual with excellent communication skills- Extensive experience in equipment design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance- BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.- Experience with Allen-Bradley and Fanuc Systems- Machine shop and welding knowledge- Knowledge of ergonomic principles- Familiar with 6-axis robot programming- Familiar with machine vision principles
