Purpose Statement: Provide initial assessment of root cause failure analysis of electronic components and related devices on a physical (not electronic) level.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Perform sample preparation and initial assessment of defective, electronic, electrical and mechanical parts.
- Write reports to summarize findings using Microsoft Word or Excel and convert to PDF as is required.
- Establish standard assessment practices and create documentation.
- Maintain laboratory and related equipment.
- Route issues for further analysis to FA Lead Engineer.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Assist in the assessment and management of third party laboratory services.
- Support on generation of FA reports
- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Technical degree is required; a(n) Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies or similar Engineering is preferred.
- 4-5+ years of related experience is required; 4-5+ years of industry experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment:
- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
