To do this, we are investing in technology, and businesses focusing on micro-transit, commercial solutions for fleet customers, enhancing the vehicle ownership experience and developing the Transportation Mobility Cloud, which will host mobility-related solutions.- THE ROLE:Ford Customer Service Division's (FCSD) Purchasing team works to ensure that automotive parts and services sourced from around the globe are of the highest quality, at optimal cost and delivered on-time. We aim to build strong relationships with the supply base so that Ford can create an ownership experience for vehicle owners, which is so good that they become repeat customers for Ford Motor Company products. Building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with a diverse range of suppliers helps us lower costs, improve quality and make progress toward our sustainability goals.- YOUR IMPACT:- Quote (process P.O) and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, toolingand services.- Purchase goods, materials, components for current and past model programs.- Coordinate and communicate with supply chain team issues related to parts availability, inventorylevel set ups, packaging, logistics, and others.- Manage supplier shortage and past due situations- Build positive relationships with the supply base by acting like a partner, trusting and beingtrustworthy, being fact based and communicating with consistency.- Evaluate supplier options in alignment with price, quality, and service requirements.- Track supplier performance with STA, Supply and Product team.- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for new commodity segments within organization- Follow up for New Supplier on Boarding Process.- Manage and negotiate supplier price change requests, resourcing actions, market tests, and lead costreduction projects- Ensure suppliers' adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions- Ensure timely responses to all quality issues and processing of SREA's and Alerts, when applicable- Work with other Buyers in both Service and Production to develop strategies and implementsolutions- WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain) is preferred - MBA a plus- Well-Seasoned Purchasing Professional required (years' experience)- MMP, WIPS, CMMS and WERS knowledge preferred- Great communication skills- Advanced English Language skills (oral and written)
