Job Summary:
Drives digital and supplier demand creation strategy through Avnet's in-house electronic design tools as a means to engage customers and manufacturers in product designs. Leads proposals to improve workflow and dynamics within the team. Strong background in electronics to drive the development of high-quality reference designs and schematics. Analyses product data to leverage sales opportunities, engages with manufacturers and users.
Principal Responsibilities:
Create detailed reference designs and schematics for Avnet's in-house electronic design tools, ensuring they meet the customer's needs.
Work closely with manufacturers and Avnet Business Units to gather requirements, validate designs, and ensure the proper products and technologies are published.
Continuously improve and update existing designs based on customer and partners feedback and technology advancements.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in electronic design and Avnet's product offering.
Market supported lines to sales team by driving adoption of advocated solutions, with supplier partners, that meet customer needs and lead to increased design activity, design wins and sales growth.
Job Level Specifications:
General awareness of business, financials, products/services and the market. Developing basic knowledge of the industry and sales environment.
Relies on manager to provide planning & manage resources. Has limited authority / opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms.
Collaborates with internal team and support functions. Has limited direct contact with clients; may work independently or partner with other engineering professionals.
Work Experience:
Minimum experience required is typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
Education and Certification(s):
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Knowledge and experience with EDA tools like Autodesk Eagle and Fusion, Altium, Orcad or similar.
