We are currently seeking a **Field **Buyer **reporting directly to our Materials Manager to join our Procurement team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
**About the Job**
- Responsible _for the effective execution of procurement activities within a Project as defined by the Project Procurement Plan. Supports Project procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk, which are in alignment with Project objectives i.e., budget, schedule, quality, cost, etc. Duties include initiating invitation to bids to selected suppliers, negotiation, Purchase Order award, and Purchase Order close-out.
**Main Accountabilities;**
- Assist the Project in the sourcing of materials and equipment while understanding the level of criticality or risk of the equipment or materials.
- Prepare and launch open and closed invitation to bids using the core eProcurement tool, serve as the single point-of-contact for Supplier questions, and harmonize, complete commercial bid tabulations with recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial conditions with suppliers within budgetary limits and scope of authority while interfacing with Legal on revised terms and conditions and may on occasion, facilitate Pre-Award meetings or proposal clarification meetings with suppliers and Project personnel to ensure alignment.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and amendments per the assigned Delegations of Authority utilizing company GEOS system including through some supervision, the management of the supplier acknowledgement.
- Develop and maintain Project procurement files in a prescribed and consistent manner including the adequate and timely close-out of Purchase Orders including the completion of performance assessments for selected suppliers.
- Initiates quality review of Purchase Orders, Commercial Bid Tabulations, etc. while ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance of all department procedures and guidelines.

- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years as a Buyer for Oil & Gas Industry, Petrochemical Facilities Construction.
- Languages: Fluent English
- Main Skills**:Expedites bids. Conducts all negotiations with vendor. **Strong negotiation skills
