._**AMT is hiring: Field Sales Engineer**_**Position summary**Our Field Sales Engineer generates sales and supports our sales and marketing efforts across their region by building strong customer and industry relationships in the territory to achieve company objectives.**Duties and responsibilities**- Meet or exceed annual territory sales goals and objectives by managing sales and lead development.- Obtain technical data from customers to initiate conceptual design of specials- Develop and deliver sales and product training presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.- Prepare sales reports that identify sales volumes, potential sales, areas of proposed client base expansion, and other relevant information in the assigned territory.- Prepare timely Visit Reports as required to document Customer Meetings and Visits.- Technical troubleshooting in cases of tools not performing- Make alternative product recommendation in case of stock outages- Customer quote follow-up when quotes are past due- Use the ATA CRM process to monitor and manage Leads, Potentials, Pipelines, Marcom Requests, Calls and Visits.- Represent the company at trade shows, association functions, dealer summits, open houses, training classes, and community events to build the company's image and reputation in targeted industries and businesses.- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of competitor's activities in the territory, industry trends, government regulations and technical developments related to the cutting tool industry and its markets.- Report all sales-related expenditures in the territory in a timely manner to ensure compliance with company policies and adherence to budgetary considerations.- Prepare Proposed Travel Schedules as required and travel to company, customer and other destinations as needed to fulfill responsibilities (min 60%).- This is a full-time position that supports 24/7 operations. A flexible schedule is required with off hour accessibility from time to time on an as needed basis.**Other duties as assigned.**These duties and responsibilities may change at any time without notice according to the needs of the department and/or the company without it being specifically included in the job description**Qualifications**- Associate's degree in Engineering, or another related technical field.- 3 to 5 years of sales experience in an industrial product environment, preferably a commodity item such as carbide cutting tools (Drills, Endmills, Inserts)- Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills needed to interface with customers.- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.- Ability to effectively multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing collaborative and team-based environment, including the use of mobile communication devices.- Proficient in MS Office suite products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
