What we do impacts the future of technology, and in turn, the way we live our lives tomorrow.**Position Overview**The Field Service Engineer provides remote and on-site technical support to our Mexico customers for repairs, process issues, and equipment optimization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to our customers, and requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service. The Field Service Engineer will not only conduct remote troubleshooting and diagnosis, but also provide in-person support as needed at our customer sites, including during the equipment installation process.**Key Responsibilities**- Repairs machines and conducts installations at customers' facilities- Installs hardware and software upgrades- Troubleshoots and provides feedback to the factory on machine issues- Conducts training courses at customer facilities- Develops processes for customers- Supports sales personnel by answering questions, forwarding information, and visiting customers when required- Travels within Mexico as needed- Performs other duties as assigned**Experience and Qualifications**- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering preferred; or at minimum 1-3 yearsof related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience- 1-5 years' of experience in the design, repair, or maintenance service of semiconductor industrial back-end equipment preferred- Experience in semiconductor back-end process/equipment preferred- Adept analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills- Strong oral and written communication skills- Able to travel to the US for training and machine buy-offs- Ability to travel within Mexico on a frequent basis is a mustAbility to work overtime when necessary**Working Conditions / Physical & Mental Demands**The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
