For this role we're requiring the following experiences:
- Support the Controller and Finance Supervisor to maintain or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses and income.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports and review and verify accuracy
- Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements and other accounting schedules and reports
- Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
- Prepare analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance of GAAP
- Responsible for the accruals, provisions, account reconciliations and other month end close activity
- Oversee the posting, balancing and reconciliation of accounting activity for the business unit
- Review long term contracts in order to prepare accounting impact analysis
- Assist Controller and Finance supervisor in coordinating month-end close and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Deliver accurate, though well presented and actionable ad-hoc analysis under restrictive time constraints
- Prepare and/or review Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Variance Analysis to explain business dynamics that drive changes in Balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and/or review monthly Revenue Analysis to measure performance
- Demonstrate continually deepening understanding of all Atlas revenue sources along with other drivers or Receivables
- Lead implementation of process improvements to streamline accounting, reporting, and analytical functions
- Assist in development and implementation of new and/or upgraded financial systems
- Lead and coordinate team responses to internal and external audit requests
- Ensure adherence to revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to internal controls related to revenue and accounts receivable
