OVERVIEW
The Finance Coordinator plans, organizes, directs and monitors matters related to finance for USCRI in Latin America, through the establishment of procedures for the compliance and support of its obligations in the region, always looking to make information management more efficient. They are also the point of contact before external agencies in Latin America for financial and administrative matters, always complying with the duties of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguarding information, assets and the correct use of resources of USCRI's field offices in Latin America;
- Act as representative of USCRI in terms of administrative and financial matters in Latin America;
- Act as the point of contact before internal and external entities in Latin America verifying or requesting information;
- Undertake various financial analyses to determine the financial health of USCRI's field offices in Latin America;
- Collaborate with USCRI's finance team at headquarters and Latin American field offices in the development and execution of financial performance;
- Examine financial and judicial documents to verify compliance with regulations and acceptable financial practices for USCRI's operations in Latin America;
- Develop and recommend solutions to financial issues or situations;
- Undertake risk management through analysis of liabilities and general expenses of USCRI in Latin America; and
- Guarantee compliance of USCRI's Latin American field offices with local and international law in addition to USCRI's internal policies.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, international business or a related field;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial role;
- Excellent communication, drafting, and teamwork skills;
- Ability to manage a wide range of projects at the same time; and
- Cordial, polite, and respectful attitude and behavior towards all people and organizations with whom they interact.
- Spoken and written Spanish and English is required.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Satisfactory completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training; and
- Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity;
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
