.Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Finance Manager.What You'll DoESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This hands-on position is responsible for the day to day accounting, month end close, planning, forecasting, and financial reporting activities maintaining forecast guidelines current and communicating proactively to Controller of any risk or opportunity in a timely manner.Manage, analyze, evaluate and interpret plant financial forecasts and operating results. Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address unfavorable trends and variances.Provides leadership to ensure adequate cost accounting processes are in place, including standard cost updates, physical inventory verification, periodic cycle counts, etc. Develop and implement budgeting and financial reporting systems to provide timely and relevant information to plant, region/division, and corporate management. Control and maintain adequate product costing systems for valuation and cost estimating activities.Review, analyze, and evaluate departments' budget system. Develop and implement reports for management use in evaluating results against performance targets.Manage the deployment of cost saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability. Monitor and provide opportunities to support continuous improvement of Plant Productivity / Gross Utilization.Assist in development of finance department goals and objectives. Implement procedures necessary to direct department activities toward achievement of goals and objectives.Recruit, train, and develop finance personnel to provide for individual career development and growth opportunities for subordinates to encourage individual progress and ensure efficient workforce. Advice, counsel, mentor, evaluate, and motivate finance personnel as necessary. Assist in the training of new finance employees. Ensure an adequate on-boarding plan is in place prior to start date, with on-going status checks to ensure completion in line with scheduled milestones.Lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Deploy & sustain lean tools and initiatives in order to reduce waste and improve efficiency of the finance function.Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities; and safeguarding of plant assets in adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the plant.
