Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Financial Analyst.

**What you'll do**:
**1. PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
As part of the finance/accounting group, this position is responsible for reporting & analyzing financial results. This person is expected to closely support of the operations and other functions (PLM's, staff. supervisors, etc.), through timely and accurate achieving and/or exceeding financial goals. This position supports Finance Manager for ensuring financial accounting activities at the location in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton Corporate policies and practice. This role supports the development of and analysis of forecasts and actual performance and operational metrics, inventory accounting as well as being responsible for the participating in the profit plan with a focus on cost savings projects and sales and intracompany sales and cogs

**2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
A. Supports in preparation of the profit plan, rolling forecast and weekly performance reporting. Drives business to meet or exceed short term & long-term goals, initiatives and expectations.
B. Review, analyze, and evaluate department budget system. Develop and implement reports for management use in evaluating results against performance targets.
C. Provide business partnership to all areas of plant regarding functional expertise and cross-functional support, providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives. Act as advisor and provide counsel to plant staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.
D. Support of cost accounting process to ensures accurate BOM's, routings and standard cost. Assists in periodic reviews and updates are performed as required, including review of variance analysis to drive continuous improvement.
E. Partner with materials and quality teams to ensure controls are in place to follow the on-hold levels as per internal policy and controls.
F. Partner and supports the Sr accountant on IC costing and MPV reviews and reports related to general cost for legacy business.
G. Support with processes to identify and quantify cost out opportunities and related data capture in database. Ensure integrity of financial information related to cost out projects.
H. Supports annual physical inventory activities ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and accuracy of physical count.
I. Responsible for intra company sales and cogs, general budget control support, finance and accounting projects support, and expenses accruals.
J. Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities; and safeguarding of plant assets in adherence with corporate policies and procedures.
K. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the plant.
L. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement in order to achieve departmental and plant goals. Support plant, functional or corporate initiatives.
M. Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Deploy & sustain lean tools and initiatives
in order to reduce waste and improve efficiency of the finance function.

**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.**

**Education**:
A. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

**Experience**:
A. Bilingual: Spanish and English, the later one at least at 60% in both writing and verbal.
B. One to three years of experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting is a plus.
C. Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports.
D. Superior analytical and thinking skills; Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability
E. Strong Interpersonal Skills in order to communicate with internal customers as well as Eaton Management.
F. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specially spreadsheet software packages Excel
G. Sound working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements (MX GAAP).
H. Understanding of global business issues, including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols and local customs and duty requirements.
I. Oracle/ similar ERPs
