And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.How will you make an impact in this role?The Financial Analyst will support Market Controller and Manager in complying with internal and external financial controls / governance requirements for legal entities and ensure completeness and accuracy of legal entity internal and external audits with solid knowledge of Mexican GAAP and USGAAP accounting standards. IFRS knowledge is a plus.The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and constantly changing priorities.Minimum QualificationsAccounting designation preferredAt least 2-3 years accounting or audits experience.Good technical accounting background and experience in accounting and reporting.Mexican GAAP & US GAAP knowledge and experience is required, IFRS is a plus.Proficiency in MS-Office applications (Advanced Excel skills) and Essbase/analytical software (PowerBi, Hive, Yellowbrick, Python). Working knowledge of Data Analytics.Sound understanding of financial systems and processes as well as control environment.Solid written and verbal English communication skills.Ability to collaborate across geographies in a complex structure and deliver on customer expectations.Demonstrated integrity, innovation, teamwork, and excellence.Preferred QualificationsSupport internal and external audits including reviewing the internal/external audit requests with process owners, participating in meetings, working with the process areas to frame a response to the auditor and monitor, report and escalate the progress of audits.Responsible for completing and reporting on audit progress and financial control dashboards.Maintain inventory of spreadsheets used by Market Controllership and perform testing of the same to ensure compliance with American Express spreadsheet control policy.Perform internal control self-assessment by testing and reporting for processes owned by market controllership
