**Corporate/Plant Controller**We are currently looking for a Corporate/Plant Controller.
The Corporate /Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities, ensuring the financial integrity of reporting, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and timely, and providing analysis of results to assist management in improving plant performance.This person will need to combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of cost accounting.
**Main responsibilities**:- Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory/cost accounting,- Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports.- Monthly reporting in compliance with Mexican regulatory reporting (IVA, financial statements, journal entries,etc.- Analyze variances and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions.- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows.- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and expense accounts.- Prepare and review monthly financial statements.- Prepare various financial analyses and special projects.- Ensure compliance with internal control policies.- Responsible for all tax and compliance-related matters.- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results.- Allocate resources and manage cash flows.- Per diem control.- Recommend solutions to reduce costs.- Make forecasts of monthly, quarterly and annual results.- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA preferred.
Public accounting experience is a plus.- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years as a plant controller.
**Competencies**- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.- Thorough knowledge of cost accounting using standard costing and thorough knowledge of Mexican GAAP.- Ability to work in a multicurrency environment.- Good planning and organizational skills- Strong analytical skills.- Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.- Strong understanding of internal controls.- Hands-on experience with financial systems (preferably SAP Business One).
