As a Financial Controller at Belmond, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our luxury properties.
With a focus on ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, the Financial Controller will provide essential financial insights to drive business strategies and decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**:- Oversee all financial operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.- Monitor and develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance profitability.- Support department heads in understanding their financial performance, providing guidance and insights.- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.- Engage with external auditors and manage the audit process.- Conduct regular analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
**Requirements**:**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's or CPA preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the hospitality sector.- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach.- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
