Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller at Belmond, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our luxury properties.
With a focus on ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, the Financial Controller will provide essential financial insights to drive business strategies and decisions.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all financial operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
Monitor and develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance profitability.
Support department heads in understanding their financial performance, providing guidance and insights.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Engage with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Conduct regular analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
