**Summary of Job**
- The Fixed Asset Manager will oversee core aspects of the fixed asset process, working closely with upper management and operations on spend vs plan, identifying trends and opportunities, as well as ensuring adequate financial reporting and accuracy on the fixed asset balances of the financial statements.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**
- Oversee the entire fixed asset accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for fixed asset management in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the integrity of fixed asset data, reconciling discrepancies and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate the yearly Capital Expenditure budget with upper management and or other departments as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to gather relevant information and support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor capital portfolio spending versus annual budget.
- Prepare the monthly capital expenditure reporting summary pack.
- Support capital site leads and project managers with project costing and analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for upper management, summarizing key fixed asset metrics and trends.
- Prepare/Review fixed asset account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Tracks and capitalizes associated costs of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) construction projects.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards related to fixed assets and ensure continuous compliance.
- Ensure the correct systems and templates are in place to support project costing and benefits realization.
- Serve as a key point of contact during internal and external audits, facilitating the audit process and addressing inquiries about fixed assets.
**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, the ability to organize effectively, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly.
- Ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bilingual English & Spanish language preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience is desirable.
- Some international travel may be required as part of this role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance related to fixed assets.
- Proven experience in fixed asset accounting, with managerial or project management experience preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience.
