**Job Title**
Fixed Assets Accountant

**Position Purpose**
Fixed assets accountant, handles in coordination with personnel of corporative Auto Zone, all general ledger assets transactions, include purchase, transfers, sales and capitalization of fixed assets for the companies in Mexico.
This person maintains the integrity of fixed Assets in both general ledgers (MX and US GAAP) through implementation of internal controls and Fixed Assets procedures as required.
The position reports FA Depreciation to financial planning for forecast and closing purposes.
**Primary Accountabilities**
- Perform weekly review and reconciliation of all asset account in both USA and Mexican GAAP general ledger, acoording to each countries assets rules.
- Working with Corporate Fixed Asset personel, to have 100% implementation within both asset systems in accordance with all the assets located in each store and all other business units located in Mexico.
- Perform monthly reconciliations between People Soft assets system and General Ledger systems for all asset accounts to ensure proper balancing.
- Work with FA US team to align the assets capitalizations.
- Perform and calculates Fiscal depreciation for all Group's Assets for Annual Tax Returns.
- Review FA Rollforward for Corporate Ledger.
Work with the statutory rollforward quarterly.
- Issue the invoices of the sale of the vehicles depreciated.
**Education & Experience**
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Accounting
Years of Experience: One to two years.
Type of Experience: General accounting, fixed assets
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: General accounting, fixed assets
Other/Preferred: Intermediate to advanced computer skills
