**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to contact local stakeholders from Google and outside of Google.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience in spreadsheet (e.g., Google Sheets), SQL and SAP ERP.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and support complex operational initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the focus on continuous improvement.

- The Google Fixed Assets (gFA) team manages the global accounting for Google's entire CapEx portfolio, manufacturing operations and related expenses. This infrastructure is at the foundation of Google, the global data centers, networks, and integrating hardware and software that powers both our customer products and services and our internal operations.
In this role, you will find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You will be focused on running effective and efficient processes for asset setup, modifications and retirements, as well as month end close reporting and reconciliation processes related to Property, Plant or Equipment (PP&E) accounts.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform month end close tasks related to PP&E area (e.g., FA ledger close, capex accruals, etc.), including managing asset creation and retirement processes, providing commentary for flux analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis, booking journal entries for the related process, partnering with business for new process/product implementations.
- Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors and regional accountants.
- Find efficiencies in the processes through elimination, automation and extended workforce.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls for PP&E processes, run processes according to risk assessment and control frameworks. Escalate when risks are detected.
- Work towards constant improvements of gFA processes to drive higher quality standards in the fixed assets register, reconciliations, and reporting produced for local audits and close reporting.
