The Fixed Asset Analyst is responsible for creating and managing CIP (construction in process) projects, ensuring proper capitalization of projects, performing periodic physical inventories, assigning tags, and controlling assets at the facilities for different production lines. The role involves coordinating fixed asset sales and intercompany transfers, assessing possible disposal or impairment of assets, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, trade compliance regulations, and tax laws. The analyst will also deliver information for statutory and SOX audits, fulfilling all requirements and knowledge on USGAAP and statutory ledgers.
General ResponsibilitiesCollaborates on the preparation and entry of journal entries.Key participant in balance sheet reconciliations.Follows the company's chart of accounts.Organizes month-end and year-end close processes.Researches and analyzes current financial status.Collaborates on financial action recommendations by analyzing accounting options.Identifies errors and collaborates on ways to improve efficiency and spending.Key participant in reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.Assists with financial statements and supplemental schedules.Organizes documentation on business processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.Prepares special financial reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Experience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.e., Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation.Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers.
