**JOB RESUME**
A dynamic and experienced Food Service Leader to oversee the operations of employee cafeteria, related food services overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of food services while maintaining high-quality standards, customer satisfaction, and health and safety regulations compliance. The Food Services Leader plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our employees, fostering a sense of community and well-being. The Food Services leader is responsible for managing the relationship with the third-party provider, collaborating with internal leaders, and overseeing all aspects of food demand, safety, and quality. The Food Services leader will negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreement. The leader will also regularly communicate with the supplier to address issues, discuss performance, and explore opportunities for improvement.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local
laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
**Operational Management**
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the employee cafeteria, including meal
preparation, service, maintenance and clean up.
- Develop a diverse and attractive menu in partnership with the food provider for breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and special events to meet customer requirements and industry trends, considering
factors such as seasonal availability, dietary restrictions, and cost when designing menus.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
- Serve as FM primary point of contact to food service provider(s) and develop professional and
technical relationships with service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of contracted
services.
- Monitor service provider activities to ensure contracted responsibilities are fully in line with
agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide leadership/support to sites for contractor governance, performance management, and
continuous improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring that food preparation and storage adhere to health and safety
standards and regulations. Monitor and maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
**Team Leadership**
- Recruit, train, and supervise J&J Cafeteria staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work
environment.
- Identify resource strategies as appropriate, balancing requirements of outsourced service
providers and contracted employees while considering all employment legislation and J&J Credo values.
**Customer Experience**
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience for employees.
- Gather feedback from employees and adjust menus or services as needed.
- Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage budgets related to cafeteria
operations.
- Responsible for oversight operating and capital related to food services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of food and services.
- Monitor and control costs associated with the third-party food service supplier.
**Special Events and Services**
- Coordinate and execute special dining events, promotion, or themed meals.
- Develop and oversee additional services, such as catering, or meal planning for employees'
events.
**Qualifications**:
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, supply chain management, culinary arts, or related field.
- Requires 8-10 Years of work experience in similar positions.
- Proven experience in high volume food service management, preferably in overseeing third party suppliers.
- Proven experience in directly managing people.
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS**
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
- A strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to create context around key business drivers and strategic plans and present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
