This is a place where you can make a world of difference.Follow Us on LinkedIn:- Foreign Trade Specialist- This position will support Donaldson's Global Trade Compliance Department program by managing internal and external customer inquiries and support other key trade compliance areas including product HS and ECN classification, country of origin determination and free trade agreements.- Responsible for managing internal and external Customer inquiries, via a central inbox regarding import, export, and free trade questions to facilitate the supply chain- Administer import/export compliance procedures to ensure compliance with all US regulations- Assist in the development of new compliance work instructions, frequently asked questions and procedures- Utilize various systems to identify correct data including Oracle, Excel, Amber Road and various government resources- Assure compliance by accurately classifying parts using both US Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes and Export Control Classification Numbers- Execute various FTA agreement and preference program analysis and process management to ensure accurate and timely submission of necessary documentation and claims- Perform yearly and ad hoc supplier solicitation, bill of material analysis, and part research to meet customer needs and duty savings opportunities- Maintain adherence to recordkeeping practices- Screen parties against all Restricted Parties lists, File Export Declarations- Support the Global Trade Compliance Department with other compliance related activities.- Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent import/export compliance or international logistics experience- Equivalent experience includes working with import brokerage, export documentation, regulations and related topics- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal- Cross functional collaboration skills- Detail oriented- Ability to be an independent contributor and work within a team environment- Proficient in Microsoft Excel- English: Advanced- Come make a World of Difference!- Our policy is to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, gender, color, disability, national origin, age, religion, union affiliation, sexual orientation, veteran status, citizenship, gender identity and/or expression, or other status protected by law.
