**Coordinador de operaciones maritimas**:Objectives:Administrate the activities related to import and export operations to avoid risks, optimize costs andremain in compliance with the local and international regulations as well as the internal procedures.Ensure that the import / export services meet the business requirements and budgets. Ensure ofthe continuous cost and process optimization of the breakbulk operations.**Responsibilities**:Pre entry activities: Forecast the amount of expenses related to each breakbulk operation.Notify AP department within at least 5 days before the vessel arrival of the amount requiredto duty and brokerage payment.Confirm with the Operations Manager of the business units the final location.Reconcile the amount of bags in every movement of location until it´s arrival to finallocation.Manage the surveyor activities and validate the taly reports provided.Manage the submission of complain before the insurance and follow up to the verificationand final settlement.Forecast the balances required in bank accounts to make the entry payment thru thecorresponding customs system (PECE).Analyze the purchase order report to ensure the correct monitoring of operations.Monitor the inventory reports at the border, port, airport, and railway terminal to ensureevery shipment is being handled properly.Submit tariff classification requests to Customs Brokers and identify applicable tariffrestrictions.Manage, document and follow up on import or export requests in accordance with theinternal procedures and the customs regime indicated by internal clients and determine theentry code applicable to each operation.Request from internal customers the necessary documentation for the operation, includingthe related to duty preferential agreements.Validate the documents provided by internal customers, customs brokers and cargo agents(entries, customs release documentation, bill of lading) to ensure consistency of informationand compliance with customs legislation.Share the estimated dates of arrival at the border, ports, airports with the internal customersand service providers.Schedule import or export services with customs agents for sea, land, air and multimodalshipments, as appropriate.Coordinate logistics operations with freight forwarders, customs brokers and warehousesuntil arrival at final destination, ensuring the availability of transportation and storage spaceby notifying upcoming arrivals or departures of material as applicablePrepare the corresponding letters and writings in customs matters for the release ofmaterials.
