The FOSS Analyst works with the software development organization to ensure that all software that is released to customers is free of legally binding license restrictions.- Skills and/or competencies (include tools needed for the job):- Free Open Source Scan- Analysing FOSS components and preparing FOSS compliance documentation.- Creating tooling and practices to ensure that we continuously inspect our products & components' usage of FOSS.- Scan results for a single project may require auditing tens or hundreds of thousands of files. The tool assists with auditing, but attention to detail is a requirement.- "Problematic" licenses are identified by software management under the direction of the Legal team.- Providing advisory and guidance to project teams around Open-Source license compliance and trade compliance based on market-specific legislations.- Provide guidance around Open-Source usage, Open-Source contribution, and Open-sourcingTechnical Writer- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements- Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
