Your New Role…
As the OPEX FP&A Analyst, you will work within the Global OPEX COE, participating in the overall finance transformation roadmap and setting standards for the financial processes related to OPEX spend.
Your main responsibility is to ensure proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting, and analysis of costs. You will support business partners in decision-making and provide required reporting to senior business and FP&A stakeholders.
Your Role Accountabilities… Supporting the month-end close process from an FP&A perspective with variance analysis focusing on streaming OPEX P&LPerforming detailed reviews of actual spend with finance business partners and budget holdersSummarizing key findings to support discussions and decision-making with the businessAssisting in the production of the monthly cost forecast submission and updating related systemsSupporting the annual budget process, including the design of templates and the critical review of planning assumptionsSupporting the financial review of key initiatives focused on driving business performance, including the creation and analysis of business casesDeveloping actionable insights to improve business unit/regional profitabilityProviding insight into financial performance through accurate, timely, and relevant reportingInterpreting and clearly communicating results, reports, and analysisContinuous review and improvement of management informationRaising queries to FP&A colleagues based on analysis and insights into Management InformationPerforming ad hoc tasks and reporting related to cost management and governance meetings as appropriateMaintaining and improving the processes supporting financial planning and analysis activitiesQualifications & Experience… 3+ years of working experience, preferably in an FP&A departmentSolid understanding of forecasting and budgeting processesGeneral accounting knowledgeCIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desiredExcellent analytical skillsStrong oral and written English communication skillsAssured self-starter on relevant projects and work is a plusProactive and hands-onStrong IT affinity to drive the required digital agenda in FP&A (EPM, Hyperion, SAP BPC/SAC, BI tools such as Power BI)II. Data sources: financial systems like SAP, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, EPM, Ariba; tools: Excel (15%)
Preparation of cost forecasts and annual budgets for operational and capital expenses in cooperation with the Finance Director and/or the business (35%)
Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis for stakeholders, using SAP, Hyperion, EPM, and other tools. Review and improvement of existing processes to accelerate the financial support provided by the Department (50%)
