The impact of our work spreads through many business areas on a global scale yet focused locally through our 1,500 team members.In order to consolidate our business and continue our successful journey, our Functional Safety Engineering Team under Energy and Industrial Automation is looking for a new colleague as a Functional Safety and Cybersecurity EngineerAfter your onboarding alongside an experienced colleague, you will:- Determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation and determine the project specifications such as cost, time and testing requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data and product construction; projects may include travel to conduct audits or witness tests at client sites- Assess safety processes and related safety management processes for clients seeking to compliance to standards in functional safety, cybersecurity and related fields, including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, IEC 62061, ISO 13849, ISO 61511, and other similar standards relevant to systems and software engineering.- Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements per applicable standards, convey project cost and negotiate completion date, as well as client input delivery requirements- Examine work products for compliance with UL requirements and notify client of any areas in which the product or process is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications
