.A worldwide Test & Quality leader, the Group delivers industry-leading test solutions and services for communications and electronics device makers worldwide, accelerating product development, quality, and innovation for clients - including many Global 1000s - in numerous industries.In order to properly account for our operations occurring on an international scope and the value that results from it, we are looking for a General Accountant who will be responsible for performing full cycle accounting and month-end tasks for the North American entities (Canada/USA/Mexico) of the Group; including balance sheetreconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
Reporting to the Controller Canada/US, the General Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the North American companies' balance sheets are maintained with diligence while participating to continuous improvement initiatives to improve the month-end tasks and controls.
**Responsibilities**:- Ensure the balance sheet accounts reconciliations of the 4 North American companies are completed, supported and documented diligently and in a timely manner- Ensure all required month-end journal entries are posted in a timely manner (accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, etc.
)- Participate to monthly variance analysis- Actively participate in intercompany transactional reconciliations- Analyze the Canadian and US sales tax transactions and complete the monthly remittances- Assist the FP&A in ad-hoc requests and analysis- Participate in the preparation of documents for year-end audit and tax returns- Participate to corporate and sales tax audit- Participate in the preparation and submitting of financial documentation for compliance purposes- Actively participate in month-end process and controls improvements- Support special project requests**Requirements and skills**:- Previous experience in a multi-currency environment, with intercompany transactions- Previous experience with an ERP, D365 is an asset- Experience in Canadian and US Sales taxes remittances, an asset- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, including Excel- Comfortable adapting processes as the business grows- Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment- Be results oriented and respectful of deadlines- Able to work under tight deadlines and pressure**Degree**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Professional accounting designation (CPA), an asset.
**Software**: Microsoft D365 is an asset.
Intermediate Excel skills.
**Language**: Fluent in English and Spanish, written & spoken.
