RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and collaborate in the accounting closing process carrying out specific tasks on a timely manner ensuring the financial integrity of the Financial Statements.
- Prepare journal entries related to project accounting, revenue, costs of sales, work in progress, deferred revenue and unbilled revenue, and other.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
- Ownership of the balance sheet control reconciliations including investigation of reconciling items to clear in a timely manner. Work towards resolution of open items partnering with Business Units and other departments.
- Researches and investigates accounting issues as required.
- Provide various financial reports to finance management as requested.
- Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal CP&P.
- Support internal and external audit processes collaborating with other departments to meet deliverables and address explanations.
- Identify potential areas for process improvements and work towards standardization and optimization of processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of experience in accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities.
- The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a must.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in accounting required.
