DISTRIBUTION GENERAL MANAGERMid to senior management level position, reporting to Company's Director of Distribution. Position will be thesenior on-site lead role in management of our stand-alone distribution center, including oversight ofsupervisory staff. Role will be considered an extension of Company's's in-house staff.Key experience and job requirements are as follows:- General management: Experience managing day-to-day operations in a fast-paced warehousing ormanufacturing environment.- Experience leading distribution center leadership & associate staff, including design of staffstructure, hiring, training and scheduling. Ability to translate strategy into aspirationalbusiness goals that unite the warehouse team to meet strategic goals.- Experienced with broken case pick/pack operations, major US retailer compliancerequirements, inventory control within warehouse setting and quality control/assurance forfinished goods.- Design efficient workflow with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with theorganizational strategy.- Responsible for the safety and health of all warehouse employees is of foremost concernand attention. This includes compliance with all local government laws and guidelines, aswell as fire safety equipment and protocols.- Advanced skills in both verbal and written communication with management, direct reportsand facility personnel. Leads by example and integrity in high-performance, large volumedistribution facility in a steady and composed manner.- Logistics expertise: Experience with Mexican customs (import and export), IMMEX manufacturing orwarehousing environments, prior management and oversight of brokerage and 3PL providers.- Prior budgetary responsibility to include CAPEX management and material handling equipment.Conducts this function with the utmost integrity and transparency, fully complying with all companypolicies.- Creative Thinking: Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solutionto a problem.- Process Improvement: Uses Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology to develop andexecute efficient and cost-effective solutions to align with the business objectives.- Adaptability: Adapts to and embraces change with composure, resilience, and perseverance in theface of constraints, high pressure, and adverse situations.- Cross-functional knowledge: Uses knowledge of functional areas, organizational structure, and keybusiness drivers to support company initiatives and long-term growth strategies, understandingindividual and functional impact on the whole organization.- Delivers Results: Demonstrates a clear bias for action and a sense of urgency on priorities. Sets andcommunicates high standards for achievement.
