.**Primary Job Function**The General Manager Mexico, Core Diagnostics, has accountability for the overall management, strategy and leadership for the business across Mexico. Profitably grow share and lead the team to meet the strategic; tactical; and financial commitments. Ensure that systems and processes are in place to enable the team to operate in a legal and ethical manner. Provide strategic direction and guidance to commercial leaders and cross-functional leadership ensuring that the relationship between division, global functions and country teams works effectively.**Core Job Responsibilities**- Responsible to manage P&L; ensuring business functions drive operational efficiencies and improving Gross Margin & Division Margin to meet the financial profile as defined in Long Range Plan (LRP).- Define the long-range strategic plan for the region; and ensure that plan objectives are met.- Balance the long-range plan with short-term business needs; providing strategic direction and leadership creating and sustaining a healthy growing business.- Ensures that development activities are in place to maintain a constant supply of talent and to maintain a positive working environment.- Meet sales and margin commitments to the Division.- Develop an annual Plan that is consistent with the Division's goals.- Visits all key geographies on a regular basis to assess business opportunities, drive execution, organization engagement and provide coaching to all employees.- Drive organization to fully leverage its global scale and scope; effectively managing the differing challenges faced by different markets and channels.- Manage and grow the relationships between Abbott and its customers.- Maintain a strong positive profile with the company's key stakeholders; particularly governmental; regulatory authorities and KOLs; seeking to shape and influence proactively relevant developments/policy/regulatory frameworks.- Adhere to the standards; guidelines and regulations associated with Ethics and Compliance and sets an example as a role model- Anticipate market trends and environmental forces and implement the necessary changes to meet customer needs.- Develop a high performance organization which includes:- Acquire; inspire and retain top talent to achieve a high level of competence; motivation and efficiency in order to secure sustainable profitability.- Develop a robust talent pipeline; encourages growth & development; ensure career paths areidentified for top talent & mentors top talent directly; driving best practices; and create a culture of innovation; pro-activity and accountability.**Required Experience**- 8+ years in leadership roles demonstrating ability to align and integrate diverse business teams and functions to ensure they work together to deliver results.- Experience leading & executing complex (multi stakeholder/multiyear) contract negotiations.- Strong P&L understanding and how to leverage improvements
