An established United States based steel fabrication manufacturer focused on servicing the automotive industry, is seeking a General Manager to directly oversee the startup operation in the Monterrey, MX area.
The company requires an entrepreneurial leader to establish the Mexico operation and expand our product into the Mexican market.This position will oversee all operational and financial aspects of the business location.
Additionally, this role will lead customer development and management of the Mexican market and will be key in the development and execution of company strategy.
**Responsibilities**- Plan, coordinate and manage all business operations to achieve corporate goals- Implement strategy and set goals for growth, quality, and financial performance- Oversee day-to-day operations of all functional areas (Sales, engineering, production, quality, scheduling, purchasing, human resources, accounting)- Responsible to ensure timeliness and quality of product shipments- Production scheduling and coordination and communication of customer needs- Evaluate and continuously improve operations and financial performance- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses- Prepare regular reports for corporate management- Ensure staff follow all company health and safety policies and procedures- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally- Ensure compliance with all applicable US and Mexican laws and regulations- Determine staffing requirements and oversee recruitment and training of new employees- Identify business opportunities with both new and existing customers- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally and ensure customer satisfaction**Requirements and Skills**- Engineering degree or four-year Bachelor's degree- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role- Technical knowledge and experience in welding and steel fabrication required- B-1 Visa preferred- Strong English and Spanish language skills required- Customer driven- Experience in planning and budgeting- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, human resources, procurement, operations etc.
