Oversees and directs the activities of a purchasing section, assuming responsibility for the acquisition and inventory management of materials including cost, quality, delivery, inventory levels and lead time trends in support of customer requirements.

Coordinates tasks required to meet the acquisition and inventory management needs for specialized commodity areas.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Lead employees performing professional purchasing duties, ensuring appropriate assignment based on special qualifications and knowledge Ensure appropriate methods of purchase order administration are maintained; Monitor or participate in major dollar procurement negotiation Meet with key suppliers to promote the Company's best interest concerning all matters dealing with the purchase of materials and services and to identify changing market conditions Assure compliance with contractual and customer requirements Review progress of team activities and recommend corrective actions where necessary Lead procurement in the planning and coordination of assigned categories of materials with Divisional Purchasing supervisory personnel Ensure the coordination of purchase material costs inputs required to support Proposals Ensure that personnel actions are consistent with Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, other related company policies and procedures and in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations Oversee prioritization of assignments; Plan, budget, organize and direct flow of work to meet both internal and external expectations Utilize Continuous Improvement principles and drive efficiencies and quality enhancements within department Lead staff through effective hiring, development, utilization, inspiration and counseling Provide a safe and healthy work environment Ensure a work environment that will foster openness, commitment, discipline, career growth and both an internal and external customer focus All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

Accountable to perform all duties and tasks assigned and any other duty that may be required bythe department or the organization.

Responsible to establish clear measurable objectives & goals in alignment with department and site KPI's and the achievement of organizational goals.

Maintain compliance with all current and future certification that the site needs for operations like ANSI ESD S20.20-2014, ISO 9001, AS9000, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, IPC, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS 4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and Importante empresa as approved by executive management 5 years of Importante empresa in commodity purchasing/planning; 1 years in a leadership role Advanced knowledge of Importante empresa Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) May require advanced knowledge of Visual Basic and/or SQL Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (MAPICS, Baan or equivalent) Understanding of the total business operation to include material procurement, order entry, forecasting, manufacturing, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels and on-time delivery Demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidences Effective analytical, planning and organizational skills Effective interpersonal skills, both internally and externally Ability to demonstrate discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain decisions Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required Ability to effectively mentor coworkers Lead, or at least participate in, a continuous improvement activity complete with documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required - Effective organization and prioritization skills - Demonstrate high attention to detail - Ability to work with diverse groups - Ability to work with mínimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
