Inventory Manager Job DescriptionPosition SummaryAn Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, including production tracking, shipments, transfers, inventory levels, and physical inventory counts across multiple locations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize control procedures.Maintain an up-to-date inventory tracking system to ensure efficient stock management.Oversee daily updates on stock movement, accuracy, cycle count, and space optimization.Ensure compliance with inventory policies and guidelines, aiming for 100% inventory accuracy.Monitor raw materials and supplies to avoid excessive surplus or shortages.Manage target inventory volumes and advise purchasing teams to maintain optimal levels.Evaluate deliveries, shipments, production, and product levels to enhance inventory control.Implement established cycle counting and reconciliation procedures to meet company and audit requirements.Minimize inventory write-offs due to expired or obsolete inventory.Collaborate with finance and sales teams to resolve inventory-related issues.Coordinate and oversee physical inventory counts and reconciliations at multiple locations.Establish metrics to measure improvements in:Inventory accuracy.Inventory turnover.Non-moving or slow-moving inventory SKUs.Requirements:Prior experience as a Project Manager or Inventory Manager.Expertise in Microsoft Excel.Fast learner.Strong leadership and management skills.Excellent organizational and logistics skills.Team-oriented individual.Proactive critical thinker.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.Detail-oriented professional.Effective communicator across departments and levels.Work Arrangements:Job Type: Full-timeWork days: Monday through FridayWork hours: 7:00 am to 4:30 pmOvertime may be required during quarterly physical inventory counts.Education & Experience:Bachelor's or associate's degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management, or related fields.A minimum of five years' experience in progressive inventory roles in a manufacturing environment.Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
