Is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, controlling, measuring and optimizing the resources and activities of the different Maintenance groups in the areas of Production, Mold Shop and Plant Maintenance with the objective of preserving the useful life of the equipment and preventing a critical level of deterioration. Interacts with support departments such as Production, Planning, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Human Resources and Finance. Develops and implements required procedures in support of quality systems/procedures. Develops and implements the strategies required to align with the key indicators (meaningful metrics) of the business, as well as supervising the different safety, quality and continuous innovations programs of the organization.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Plan, coordinate, integrate and measure the results of your Department's indicators.Develop, implement and improve the procedures and methods of the critical processes around Maintenance activities and the Mold Shop.Review, define and manage the processes vital for the determination and allocation of human, technical and material resources to assist the production processes and in general the fulfillment of the organization's objectives.Develop, implement and work in the procedures and methods for the Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Analysis and Problem Solving/Equipment Repair Program to maintain production equipment in efficient operating conditions.Establish procedures and priorities to methods to optimize spare parts inventory and reduce inventory costs to prevent obsolescence, high costs due to emergency purchases, inappropriate use of the budget and loss of production capacity.Assist Production and Product, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering in the fine-tuning processes in the different manufacturing processes according to the Production Programs, Validation Activities of New Products / Tools / Equipment / Raw Material Suppliers or Engineering Changes.Assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing process improvement changes; modifications to machinery, equipment and production line layouts; installation of new or transfer equipment.Identify, lead, assign, report and coordinate resources to TPM and SMED projects in areas of opportunity throughout the operation.Responsible for the correct execution of the Safety procedures involved in the different maintenance activities (Lockout/Tagout – LOTO).Support and participate in the different processes and programs of Safety, Quality, Productivity/Cost savings, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing/Kaizens/5S's, etc.Select, organize, instruct, develop, evaluate and recommend salary increases for personnel based on guidelines established by the plant/division.Who You Are: You see opportunities that benefit the customer.You encourage diverse thinking to promote and nurture innovation.You identify and seize new opportunities.You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.You facilitate breakthroughs by integrating diverse views and finding common ground or acceptable alternatives.For This Role, You Will Need: Career in Engineering or related technical specialty (Electronics, Industrial and Production, Mechanical-Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics and Communications, etc.).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 Years in Positions related to Maintenance Supervision/Administration in Manufacturing processes. Minimum experience of 3 years in Injection Molding, Extrusion, Blow Molding, Roto Molding or similar experience in maintenance with plastic molding processes.
Knowledge:
High level of knowledge in the operation and application of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical systems, Programmable Controllers/PLC's, Robots and Automations. Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, motors, drives, air compressors, chillers, regulators (grinders), water pumps, etc. Validated experience working under Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing environments specifically in the implementation and management of SMED, TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, 5S's and OEE. Microsoft at PC level (Power Point, Excel, Word, Minitab, Access). Experience working under Quality Management Systems, Developing Standard Operating Procedures. Knowledge of Quality Standards such as ISO9001:2008, ISO/TS16949:2009.
