MMI Company /SFI Mexico is privately held company with headquarters located in the El Paso Texas.
MMI company thru is local manufacturing operations in Juarez, Mexico (SFI Mexico), provides high quality manufacturing services to a wide range of industries, including têxtile, RV components manufacturers, residential windows manufacturers, protective industrial products(clothing), household cleaning products, sorting project for forensic industry, sorting projects in general.
We have an opening for a bilingual Production Manager at our Juarez, Mexico facility.
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations while increasing productivity and efficiency.
**Responsibilities**:
- Overall responsibility for leading and managing the Juarez facility to meet and exceed performance expectations, production goals and new products introduction.
- Provide leadership for production, engineering -design, quality, machining, maintenance, cutting department, production scheduling, materials department HR and accounting.
Work closely with production scheduling, production supervisors, engineering -design, sewing machine maintenance and production equipment maintenance to consistently monitor, improve and develop plant site improvements and efficiencies
- Plan and develop production schedule according to customer requirements and needs.
- Monitor, identify and target opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining productivity, quality and safety strategies.
- Partner with site Human Resources to address staffing for direct and indirect employees, employee relations, employee morale, benefits and compensation.
- Foster an environment that encourages creative problem solving and innovative ideas for product development/improvement.
- Communicate with General Manager of SFI Mexico regarding production and manufacturing strategies, improvements and challenges.
Identify and implement strategies to address any site issues.
Strong Spanish and English speaking and writing skills are required
- Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures and local health and safety regulations are met.
- Understand and follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Understand the procedures and / or instructions ISO 9001, and the relationship of their duties with the quality of the product.
- Understand the procedures and follow the instructions and information on Quality, SRL, area documents or those that are applicable to the position.
- Supervises and manages the production processes, on time delivery, quality, and work instructions of his function.
- Ensures the quality of products made in accordance with customer requirements.
- Manage and maintains the growth of the culture of quality in the company and plant site.
- Supervises the correct dissemination of the production and corporate procedures applicable to the corresponding plant site.
- Coordinates the customer's production requirements with the Master production scheduling plan and supervises that quality levels are achieved.
- Coordinates and supervises the correct administration of the systems to ensure quality standards.
- Ensures production standards for internal and external audits are meet at the facilities.
- Supervises improvement projects and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure the control of documentation: availability, ease of access, level of reviews.
- Monitors that the efficiency of the production lines/ customer projects are maintained.
Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate operations.
Develops and maintains KPIS (Key process indicators) to manage the performance of the plant site production.
- Coordinate and follow up on scheduled delivery times.
- Maintain the standardization of work execution methods in the plants.
- Promote a CULTURE of continuous improvement in the plant sites.
- Helps optimize the efficiency of the company plant sites manufacturing process, equipment, material resources, and labor.
- Applies and promotes the use of continuous improvement tools.
- Supervises the plant site supervisors team in achieving the objectives of the plant and the company.
- Respect and promote the mission and values of the company.
- Provides support in the Carrying out of the employee evaluation process within the established deadlines.
- Evaluate, monitor and coordinate the training needs of the members of the staff, managers and supervisors.
- Perform personnel administration tasks, management of overtime and resources for the operation.
- Other related duties as required.
- Able to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Support and assist the design -quoting -engineering process of the company for new products introduction.
**Job Requirements**:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, operations or business-related field.
- 7+ years' experience in engineering, production, or operations
