Ensures that all Safety, Environmental and health policies and regulatory requirements are meet or exceed minimum acceptable criteria in accordance with Schlage guidelines. Drive proactive and preventive actions to achieve world class EH&S performance. Responsible for consistently driving a safety culture based on correct behaviors.
Responsible for the flawless introduction of all new product, product transfers and process transitions.
Champions and Institutionalizes an Operational Excellence culture using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen tools to meet or exceed goals and objectives
Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for labor, overhead, investment and capital budgets for manufacturing operations
Responsible for WIP inventory levels and accuracy. Implement initiatives to efficiently manage WIP inventory investment while avoiding stock-outs
Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization in order to foster and promote a good work ethic, maintain high levels of morale, and encourage a participatory style of management
Develops staffing plans. Supervises direct and functional reports; establishes individual performance goals. Reviews performance Vs goals and objectives; provides counseling. Develops, approves, and implements programs for timely development and progress of individuals
Carries out employee relations programs, and ensures adherence to company and local labor practices such as affirmative action, valuing differences, and overtime. Works with Human Resources in managing discipline and documentation of facts as required
Directly supervises approx.. 10 employees. Indirectly supervises approx. 700 hourly direct and indirect employees + salaried employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Uses business skills and knowledge to ensure the development, alignment and implementation of enterprise strategy
Manages Operational Budget related to Overtime, Production Supplies and others, tied to the AOP/forecast
