**Manager SSYMA**
Grupo Polesa, a Mexican company with more than 60 years in the market, is the leading supplier in the manufacture of poles and fittings for power transmission and distribution, lighting, telecommunications, signaling and public lighting. To continue contributing to the transformation we are looking to integrate to our team a **Safety**, **Health and Environment** **Manager**, who will be located in our **Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos plant** offices **(15 minutes from the Airport)**.
**Purpose**:
Responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, as well as implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that comply with environmental and safety regulations. This role involves leading initiatives to prevent accidents, minimize risks, promote sustainable practices and ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
**Requirements**:
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety or related field. Certification in occupational safety is desirable.
- Conversational English.
- Previous experience in safety and environmental management roles in industrial environments, preferably in the metalworking industry.
- Experience in managing and leading teams of +10 people.
- In-depth knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
**Main Activities**:
- Develop and maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in line with government regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to safety, health and environment.
- Develop emergency and contingency plans for situations such as fires, chemical leaks, industrial accidents, etc.
- Organize and supervise training programs for employees on occupational safety, handling of hazardous substances, emergency procedures, etc.
- Coordinate incident response, investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes and propose corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct periodic workplace risk assessments and propose measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards and coordinate external audits as required.
- Foster a safety culture among employees by promoting active participation in safety and environmental awareness initiatives.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
