**Position Summary**:The Operations Manager will have responsabilities for the daily operation of multiple DC departments as well as providing guidance and leadership to all supervisor's to ensure the accomplishment of the departmental and DC overall goals. Communicates with DC Manager about areas and issues that require attention.**Position Responsibilities**:- Day to day oversight of multiple DC departments for an entire shift or across shifts. Oversight of regulatory compliance as it relates to promoting a SAFE environment. Performs daily activities with a sense of urgency and always making decision's for the bussines.- Provide best Customer Service to Zoner's and AutoZone store's. Workforce planning and staffing.- Ability to manage a total operation to meet productivity targets. Budget development and performance metric reporting and analysis. Recommends and initiates appropriate actions to increase productivity, decrease expenses and improve profitability.- Partner with DC Manager, DC Director and interdisciplinary areas of the organization to develop and implement a Best Practices approach to achieve supply chain excellence.- Teaming with the HR department and training department to attract, recruit and retain the best talent, create a succession plan that contributes toward's the personal development and growth of the team.- Create a pulling and delivery schedule with transportation manager that maintains an equal daily workload.- Team up with inventory manager to slot merchandise to be pulled correctly with other store merchandise. Teaming with loss prevention to execute the plan against shrink.**Position Requirements**:- Level of Formal Education:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.- Area of Study:No special requirement- Years of Experience:Five to seven years.- Type of Experience:In a high volume, customer focused distribution/production environment.- Proven understanding of the core business functions and their linkage to the DC. Leading multiple departments with a minimum 4 to 6 direct reports and 100 to 150 indirect reports.
