Position Purpose This position plays a critical role in developing and executing pricing and promotional strategies that maximize revenue, margin, and market share across both the DIY and Commercial channels. This role involves deep analysis of product costs, competitive pricing, and promotional effectiveness to align with business objectives and customer expectations. A key responsibility is ensuring the company's pricing remains competitive in the market while balancing profitability and growth. This Sr. Manager will leverage data-driven insights to optimize pricing strategies and oversee the successful execution of promotional initiatives across both channels.
Primary Accountabilities Create and implement competitive pricing models for both DIY and Commercial channels, ensuring alignment with market trends and company profitability goals. Plan and execute promotional campaigns that enhance customer engagement, sales, and profit growth, ensuring promotions are tailored to different customer segments. Oversee product cost analysis to ensure accurate pricing strategies that account for cost variations, margin requirements, competitiveness, and market conditions. Support the merchandising team in cost negotiations with vendors through data-driven insights. Continuously monitor and analyze competitor pricing and promotions to ensure the company remains competitive in both DIY and Commercial channels while protecting profit growth. Collaborate with marketing, operations, merchandising, supply chain, commercial, and finance teams to ensure pricing and promotional initiatives are effective and synchronized across DIY and Commercial. Leverage advanced analytics and data tools to optimize pricing, forecast demand, and assess the effectiveness of promotions. Leadership and team development through leading, mentoring, and developing a team of pricing managers and analysts, providing guidance on best practices in pricing and promotions strategy. Create executive presentations and reports to inform decision-making and results tracking for senior leadership. Education & Experience Level of Formal Education: A Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Ingeniero en Negocios de Tecnología de Información, Ingeniero Industrial y de Sistemas, Economista, Financiero, Ingeniero Mecánico, Administración de Empresas, o afín.
Years of Experience: Five to seven years.
Type of Experience: Should meet all of the requirements for Sr. Pricing and Promotions Manager. This position requires the person to be proactive and have demonstrated leadership ability and executive presence. Must have a category manager's level of understanding of the 4P's of retailing. Advanced English required.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: English, MS Office.
Other/Preferred: Retail experience.
