.Quantum is currently hiring for a GL Accountant and will be reporting to the GL Accounting Manager. The GL Accountant will assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close for Quantum and its subsidiaries, including supporting the US team and third parties to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial transactions. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the close process including processing and reporting for Quantum's subsidiaries and the preparation of reconciliations for the subsidiaries, with a strong focus on US GAAP. This role will also be responsible for other global activities and other projects, as necessary.This role is to be based in our Guadalajara office and offers a hybrid working schedule, with at least 3 days per week spent in the office.**Job Duties**:- Support the month-end accounting close process to ensure timely, accurate and complete recognition of financial transactions, with a focus on US GAAP.- Coordinate with third parties and assist with processing and consolidation of Quantum's subsidiaries.- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules from Oracle and Microsoft D365.- Analyze the foreign, domestic and consolidation balance sheet and income statements to identify significant variances and investigate as appropriate to ensure the financials reflect all key financial transactions from the reporting period.- Prepare reconciliations of accounts for various subsidiaries to ensure complete and accurate capture of intercompany transactions. Support financial statement audits.- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to provide for a collaborative team environment.- Maintain adequate and concise documentation related to the performance of key controls to support internal and external audits.- Develop and recommend changes to existing processes that positively affect workflow and maximize efficiencies.**Job Requirements**:- 5+ years of GL experience within a global organization with a strong understanding of consolidations.- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.- Experience with Oracle EBS and Microsoft D365 is preferred or extensive knowledge with other global financial systems.- Strong understanding of Intercompany accounts and eliminations.- Ability to effectively present information to senior management and external auditors.- Understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as it relates to reporting.- Excellent written and verbal skills: ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence and procedures.- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.- Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented: must possess a big-picture perspective, strong business aptitude and be well versed in efficient processes and procedures
