As General Ledger USCA Manager you will maintain financial record keeping and reporting systems. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting as applicable. Preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations. Manage 5 Supervisors (4 GL Supervisor and 1 Invoicing), direct reports at a department level. Manages professional employees and supervisors; may manage technical/business support staff. Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receive guidance from senior manager. Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and customers. Report and escalate any risk and potential impact to stakeholders.
You will report to the Global Shared Service Manager. This position is located in Queretaro. You will work #LI-Hybrid
**Main Responsibilities**
- Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and communicate changes with users on a periodic basis.
- Maintain accounting tables, GL closing schedule, chart of accounts and other maintenance needs in multiple ERP's.
- Analyze, audit, and verify transactions, both automated and non-automated, within multiple funds.
- Ensure that all journal entries for our accurate and recorded each month and reconciliations for all accounts.
- Work with the department heads, preparing forecasts and projections throughout the year to ensure the budget is met.
- Serve as the lead resource for the accounting system by providing training and support to team members for proper use and maintenance of the accounting system modules; ensure that rate tables and other data are up to date on a timely basis; and manage the import of the budget data.
- Maintain the accounting system and other related system help desk function in a timely and supportive manner.
- Manage all accounting system upgrades, communications, and improvement requests.
- Continuously pursue process improvements and ways to standardize transactions throughout the organization, embracing best practices.
- Identify and resolve issues as they arise, and determine the process and controls needed to prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Supporting the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
- Ensure proper account analysis of USCA accounts, reducing risks with financial impact.
- Ensure monthly, Q and annual closings, according to compliance and manual controllers.
- Propose and lead process improvement projects.
- Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree with major or minor in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on accounting or analysis experience.
