.Tasks- Work closely with the supplier counterpart team such as, but not limited, Sales, Production Planning, Logistics, Purchasing, etc. with the purpose of stabilizing the actual supply situation.- Based on the suppliers' KPIs and Continentals' global demands, the Global Allocation Manager must make decisions about changes in the suppliers' production planning and loading.- Escalation point for all affected Conti plants in case of raw material shortages.- Decision-maker in the allocation of limited supply in between different Continental plants or BUs/Divisions in close cooperation with the supplier.- Responsible for instructing and ensuring the follow-up of premium freights such as NFO, Hand-carry, Express shipments, Charters- Interface between all Continental plants affected and the supplier to ensure the balance in the supply/demand ratio (fair-share)- Develop prevention tools to avoid any line down in Conti plants due to raw material shortages.- Extensive Work with the SAP/ERP system as well as other internal tools to analyze material demand and preferred suppliers, possible second sources, from production plants worldwide.- Monitor the agreed schedule and evaluate the suppliers' installed capacity accordingly.- Escalation and support point person for project teams to implement/release new alternative suppliers- Work with Purchasing and Operations to improve suppliers' lead times to satisfy Continental production planning schedules.- Closely monitor the WIP in the suppliers' production and escalates if there is any deviation from the agreed plan- Ensure that the supplier is prioritizing Continental's needs as their no.1 customer.- Reporting and data analysis using SAP,BW,ECDM systems.- Organize and moderate telephone conferences between all involved parties.- Ensure that the MSM/Allocation process incl. PAF, LDAN, Red Alert is properly and strictly followed by all parties.- Create and use a PAF (Plant Allocation Form), to ensure the most efficient and effective distribution of the available components.- Acknowledge and follow the customer specific requirements implemented in internal processes- Follow existing laws regarding work and security, as well as Continental Rules**Qualifications**:- 2-5 yrs. of experience in material and production planning functions- Desirable experience in other SCM related functions - general knowledge of the Continental landscape of SCM processes, systems, tools and procedures.- Project management experience with at least 1 proven project at multi-functional level or multi-location level- General logistics knowledge about transportation, incoterms, and business models.- Knowledge of the Continental New Product Launch and Material Lifecyle procedures- Knowledge of the Continental demand management standards, as well as Industry and Automotive standards
