Global Commodity Manager-Machinery - - 162985 - KochMolex is looking for a Global Commodity Manager in our Guadalajara location. As a Commodity Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategic procurement for machinery across North America. With a presence in more than 40 countries, Molex offers a full suite of solutions and services for many markets, including data communications, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, commercial vehicle and medical.What You Will DoProactively engage with Molex Divisions and Business Units that manufacture in Guadalajara.Collaborate cross-functionally to align business needs while leveraging purchasing power.Work closely with Procurement Center and Category Management to facilitate efficient information exchange.Communicate effectively with senior management both within and outside the company.Preferred Suppliers:Strategic segmentation of preferred suppliers and implementation across the organization.Continuously enhance the preferred supplier list and effectively communicate updates to stakeholders.Build and strengthen relationships with preferred and business-critical vendors.Improve mutual understanding between internal and external stakeholders.Enhance our leverages to improve terms and conditions.Total Cost of Ownership Management:Drive transparent, data-based decision-making through TCO evaluations.Utilize Source-To-Pay Tool (Coupa) for driving data-based improvements, sourcing events.Collaborate with the regional Indirect Sourcing Center and the S2P Lead to increase spend under control.Workshops for Stakeholders:Initiate workshops for internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.Cost Savings Initiatives:Drive cross-functional cost-saving projects to optimize expenses and enhance efficiency.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Education:This position will deal with complex equipment and processes. A degree in Business or Engineering is necessary for this role.Experience:You should have experience in category/commodity management, specifically focused on the procurement of manufacturing process and test equipment.You should have experience in a manufacturing process implementation related role.Familiarity with the product development process is essential.Manufacturing Process Development Understanding:Familiarity with the manufacturing process development is essential.Pricing and Contract Negotiation:Demonstrated experience in pricing and contract negotiation is a key requirement.Cost Knowledge:Possessing strong should cost knowledge will be advantageous.Global Sourcing Expertise:You'll need to excel in commodity sourcing and negotiating indirect materials within a fast-paced global environment, using strategic category management techniques to achieve impactful results. This position would be working within Global Commodity Strategies.Skills & Abilities:Language skills: English, Spanish, (nice to have any other language).Strong organizational and program management skills.Strategy development and implementation.Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to critically review and negotiate contracts and have a solid understanding of standard contract boilerplates. Able to critically evaluate supplier financial health and capabilities.Ability to read and understand technical specifications.Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, both verbal & written.Self-Motivated and able to work autonomously.Specific knowledge of Machinery supplier base.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint will be beneficial for this role.Familiarity with Source-to-Pay tools, such as Coupa, is highly desirable.Ability to analyze data or insights to determine industry and market trends to devise long-term development strategies for improved category.Utilizes analytical skills and business intelligence to drive sourcing process from selection through performance management to stay ahead of sourcing issues and maximize value.Automotive experience dealing with Tier 1 or OEM is not necessary but may put you ahead for this position.Travel:Up to 10%.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
