.**Job Summary**:The Global Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing all payroll transactions in a timely manner for both US-based and Global-based teams, as well as preparing and maintaining all payroll records. The Global Payroll Specialist will be expected to run regular reporting and analysis of payroll trends and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations for the respective countries we have employees. This individual will also be responsible for assisting in state business registration and updating payroll tax information per state, country or provinces. Will be the resident expert on all things payroll for our Global and diverse team.**Responsibilities**:- Prepare, verify, and process multiple global payrolls to US, Canada, and Mexico on a semi-monthly basis.- Review and process employee changes to ensure all payments accurately reflect current compensation levels and withholdings in accordance with local labor laws, and requirements for each country.- Responsible for communicating to the organization any changes to payroll that will impact our employees in their respective country.- Monitor time and attendance collection and conduct timesheet audits to resolve any discrepancies.- Confirm that bonuses, supplemental, and taxable benefits are reviewed and processed in an accurate and timely manner.- Verify, calculate, and process wage garnishments in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. Administer IRS Levy's and Local Tax Levy's.- Audit payroll before and after it is submitted, analyze and report on changes, discrepancies, and fluctuations in payroll cost by pulling reports and using formulas to reconcile data.- Prepare and submit payroll documents to the Accounting/Finance department each pay period.- Reconcile payroll deductions against vendor statements (i.E.,401k, garnishments, FSA, voluntary benefits, etc.).- Consistently analyze and report on PTO balances. Ensure leave balances are accurately reflected.- Prepare final and manual checks for employees as needed.- Create a SOP for the various payroll processes for business continuity- Serve as the payroll and timekeeping system administrator. Audit employee information in the system to ensure accuracy.- Develop and maintain a relationship with all payroll service providers to resolve issues and create system enhancements.- Maintain accurate payroll records. Assist with developing and maintaining forms and controls for payroll-related activities.- Responsible for system reporting and reconciliations, including payroll funding, accounting reporting obligations, internal and external reporting, year-end W-2/T4 reporting.- Assist in audits by working with other departments/stakeholders and providing reports as needed.- Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.- Partner with cross-functional departments (HR, Accounting/Finance, IT, etc.) to identify and implement process improvements to drive excellence and eliminate risk
