**ALTEN Mexico is looking for Global Safety Performance Jr**
**General Activities**:
The Global Safety Policy & Performance Engineer is responsible for support the development and maintaining department templates such as KPIs, budget and timing, developing RASIs and training plans, communicating regulatory and third party requirements changes, managing the NA Program Review agenda and team website and being the liaison for the NA team to other global regions.
- Collaborate with project managers and performance engineers to develop and maintain
common templates such as KPIs, budget, timing, etc. and ensure adherence to these templates.
- Collaborate with regional team and harmonize with global regions to develop common
processes (e.g. standard RASI).
- Explore opportunities to develop the team and help build their safety knowledge and
experience.
- Collaborate with global regions to discuss global topics and projects.
- Communicate regulatory and third party safety requirement changes to the team.
- Manage the NA Safety Program Review Agenda and lead the biweekly meetings.
- Manage the department website and ensure that accurate data is posted in the appropriate
locations.
The Global Safety Project Performance Engineer must possess a strong technical acumen.
**Education/Experience**:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
0-2 years experience in product/propulsion system development
**Soft skills**:
Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional working teams.
Strong ability and skills in root causing and problem solving.
Excellent leadership and communication abilities (written, verbal, and presentation).
**Technical Skills**:
- Knowledge/Experience with crash/safety related, specifically in two or more
of the following areas:
- Support in the design of vehicle structures for impact performance using computer aided engineering (CAE).
- Restraint system or component development.
- Sled and/or full vehicle testing.
- Experience/Knowledge on safety related commodities.
- Knowledge of global vehicle safety regulations and consumer ratings requirements.
- Understanding of the vehicle development.
- Familiarity with DYNA3D, CATIA/NX/TC, Hypergraph, data/film analysis and simulation
techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
- Well familiar with cross-functional interaction and conflict among key functional attributes
- NVH, Impact, and Durability.
- Experience in vehicle impact testing and/or data analysis.
- Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis experience
