Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Global Trade Management Manager.
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
Function as expert and on-the-ground resource for import and export operations, Maquila Program, Mexican Trade Certifications, Trade Security Programs, and compliance matters. Develops and maintains thorough and current knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to the activities of the facility.
Responsible for ensuring that business is in compliance with all the Mexican customs and International regulations regarding import and export of material, information and technology, with roughly Customs Valur of $2BUSD of Imports, Export and Virtual Operations, through Eaton Truck, Eaton Trading, EMSA & Eaton Cummins.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
a. Lead and execute action plans to improve, mitigate, contain or eliminate any existing customs risks or contingencies.
b. Develop and deploy Temporary Imports and VAT Certification compliance processes and procedures in conjunction with various Trade Compliance and tax functions within Eaton.
c. Sustain the reconciliation process of Annex 24 inventory control system vs. ERP/physical inventory at the Plant, including finding/coordinating fixing root causes for potential discrepancies between them.
d. Supervising the execution of a Mexican Trading company Customs obligations, including Virtual Pedimentos (V5) and other Customs obligations. (4 entities).
e. Communicate policy, procedures and economic issues that affect Eaton operations. Assist in standardizing processes, providing training, advice and guidance to other areas throughout the Plant as necessary.
f. Provides analytical and tactical support to implement processes and procedures for new projects, Maquila services, Special imports as warranties.
g. Stay up-to-date with the Law and other regulations applicable to and temporary inventory operation.
h. Responsible for ensuring the full compliance with New Customs Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications Skills USA/ Mexico, ITAR regulations, military license agreement, Free trade agreements, etc.
i. Monitor the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.
l. Coordinate and execute internal audits and focus risk assessments with the purpose of identifying areas at risk or contingencies in general operations related with Customs Regulations.
n. Supervise the proper recordkeeping based on the current customs regulations on import and export transactions and Free-Trade Agreements.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.
- Compliance Officer Certification Preferred
- Fluent in English-Spanish
- Ability to improve, mitigate, contain or eliminate any existing customs risks or contingencies.
- In-depth knowledge of Annex 24 system
- Strong analytical and Auditing Skills
- Knowledge of ERP transactions (Oracle preferable)
- Ability to support Implementing Customs Software
- Strategic planning to ensure Customs Compliance
- Customs regulatory advisor
**Skills**:
- Negotiation skills with Customs Brokers.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of all FTA that currently exist in Mexico
