**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As a Principal Advisor, you will be supporting the implementation and ongoing objectives of the Engineering Services Department in supporting customers with the development and implementation of Value Engineering Consultancy 'best-practice' deployment as defined by the client requirements.
Customer deliverables include the management of assets through their design lifecycle supporting safety, performance, risk-consequence management, and total cost of ownership.
Moving forwards, your involvement will also include the recruitment, development, and ongoing management of a team of Value Engineering Practitioners supporting service delivery, meeting contractual obligations in relation to safety, service quality and costs.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for delivering, overseeing, and delivering Value Engineering Consultancy Services across the Global customer-base.
- Contribution to the ongoing development and implementation of best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve customer services offerings.
- Implement and manage continuous 'technical' improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
- Support the management and coordination of service activities to increase customer operational effectiveness, technical availability, and cost.
- Support the review, optimisation, development, and implementation of maintenance procedures of identified critical equipment to defined standards using Asset Tactics Development.
**Accountabilities**
- Responsible for working in promotion and compliance with HSE standards through customer engagements.
- Manage and coordinate Value Engineering Services activities across the global customer base.
- Manage risk to accepted level supporting the organization's strategic objectives in the areas of environmental, health and safety, asset availability, quality, and productivity.
- Monitoring of VES delivery, costs and value generation using agreed performance measures and tracking trends to identify areas of support in the development of customer/business improvement plans.
- Presentation and prioritisation of performance data directing focused effort on the most critical opportunities.
- Build strong relations with the internal and external stakeholders by sharing information and acting as a liaison for other areas of the business to provide a comprehensive service to our customers.
- Facilitate appropriate Root Cause analysis studies following major incidents to develop detailed improvement action plans, obtain management approval and facilitate the implementation of sustainable solutions to eliminate or reduce loss.
- Work with other groups and functions within the business to improve cross-departmental relations increasing flexibility and efficiency in our service.
- Continually challenge and develop our process flows and methods of operating to deliver upon our customer excellence programme.
- Play an active role within the company's management team by attending meetings to ensure effective and constructive Engineering Services input into the development of the site to meet the business plan.
- Awareness of the financial impact of decisions made to service sectors the customer base.
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Educated to Engineering degree level with extensive background in an Asset Management / Reliability Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' demonstrated experience in engineering manufacturing support.
- Extensive plant level experience with significant proven transformational change management implementation.
- Experience of managing highly competent change management resources.
- Ability to demonstrate how our corporate values will be applied in the workplace e.g., caring, challenging, trusted, responsive and tenacious.
- Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment with a proven track record of performing at a high level in a fast-paced customer service and commercial environment.
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders effectively within the business.
- Experience of project management with a pro-active approach to change management
