STATEMENT:
The Cloud Engineer III is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and supporting all cloud activities and infrastructure. This role provides consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and configuration
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Level III
- Supports cloud migrations efforts
- Ability to resolve cloud related tickets and requests
- Provides technical documentation
- Prepares and reviews cloud governance and security protocols
- 2nd level support and analytical skills for hybrid cloud environments
- Rightscaling based on effectiveness for cloud cost optimization
- Designs cloud governance and security processes that aligns with the global GTS policies
- Provides technical advice and cloud expertise
- Stabilize and standardize hybrid cloud environments based on the global standards
- Advise on automation and orchestration technologies
- Recommends new cloud solutions and drives implementation of new projects
Job Qualifications:
Skills Required
- Experience working with Google GCP
- Experience working with IaC
- Strong communication skills in English
- Deep and broad general IT knowledge and hands-on experience in different areas such as networking, infrastructure, security, solutions architecture, and design, etc.
- Strong programming skills and fluency with scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python, Shell)
- Strong Knowledge and proven experience in setting up, securing, and managing cloud infrastructure
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud provisioning and administration, cloud disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies, as well as performance measurement and monitoring in the cloud
- Solid understanding and proven practical experience with GCP and Azure policy design
Certificates / Training:
- Preferred: GCP, Azure, AWS and/or other Cloud Certifications
Experience Level III
- 5+ years of cloud engineering experience or equivalent
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in an IT, Engineering
Education Required:
- Bachelor's in Information Technology or related field
